If you’re seeking connection with land, community, or yourself, there’s a place for you here.

Everyone belongs outside. We design our programs to be welcoming, accessible, and supportive for different ages, identities, abilities, and levels of experience.

Trailhead Experiences

Reconnect. Recharge. Reimagine.

Step beyond a typical outdoor outing and into thoughtfully facilitated experiences designed to create lasting impact.

Each 3-hour program is intentionally crafted to support mental health, encourage physical movement,

and foster meaningful growth.

More than time outside - it's time well spent.

Seeing Like A Naturalist

Step into a slower, more attentive way of experiencing the world. Seeing Like a Naturalist invites participants to develop keen observation skills by learning to read landscapes, track wildlife, and notice the subtle ecological cues that often go unseen. As you tune into patterns, textures, and movement in the natural environment, you begin to cultivate a deeper awareness of both your surroundings and yourself.

This heightened attention has powerful mental health benefits - encouraging mindfulness, reducing cognitive overload, and supporting a sense of calm and presence.

Physically, the program promotes gentle, sustained movement through walking, exploring, and interacting with natural spaces, helping to improve overall fitness and coordination.

Participants often leave feeling grounded, curious, and more connected to the living world around them, with practical outdoor skills they can carry into everyday life.

Perfect for adults, educators, and anyone in the community eager to explore the natural world.

Partner with us

We are better together! We collaborate with community partners, educators, organizations, and other businesses to design programs that reflect local needs and create lasting impact.

This might look like supporting schools to take learning outside, partnering with recreation departments on community programs, offering staff training and professional development, or co-creating new outdoor initiatives from the ground up.

If you’re interested in working together, let's connect and explore what’s possible.

Ferro & Tide is rooted in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people. We are grateful to live, learn, and work as guests on these lands and waters, whose care, stories, and teachings long predate us and continue to shape this place today.

We recognize that the Peace and Friendship Treaties remain living agreements, and that we are all Treaty people with shared responsibilities to respect the land, honour relationships, and move forward in good ways.

Because our work is grounded in place, we understand this acknowledgement as more than words. It is a commitment to listening, learning, and building relationships with local communities, knowledge holders, and the lands and waters that continue to teach us
